He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Smith and Polly Smith; his son Tony Lee Smith; his granddaughter Joy Lee White; and his siblings, Alvin, Wilbur Smith, Grace Martin, Christine Spears, Pauline Mabry, Irene Hendrix, Jeanette Kilburn, Geneva Palmer and Alta Osborn.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Palmer Smith; his daughter Sandra Smith White (Keith); his sister Betty Joyce Smith Tripp; his grandchildren, Brian White (Catassa), Carissa White and Rachael Smith Karnes (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Cayson Saint, Brayden White and Lucas White. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
