He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Freeman and Ethel Thomas Freeman. He is survived by: his sons, Walter Freeman, Jr. and David Freeman; his siblings, Johnnie Mae Darby, Isabel Butler, Calvin, Clyde, George, Thomas Lee, Jackie and Wilfred Freeman; his grandson Curtis Freeman; his wife Margaret Vinson Freeman; his great grandchild Kenji Freeman (Dominique); his daughter-in-law Miji Freeman; his great great grandchildren, Miya, Kimiko and Tne; his siblings-in-law, Timothy Vinson, Jr., Cleopatra Brooks (Berkeley) and Dora Vinson; and his nieces and nephews, Jessie Ray Freeman and Rochelle Vinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
