She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Murphy and Elsia Murphy; her sister Juanita Reichel; and her husband Clarence Akins. She is survived by: her children, Jan Houser (Morty), Mickey Akins and John Murphy Akins (Anna); and her grandchildren, Grant Carlton, Aaren Corley, Kaela Rhea, Thai Carlton, Ruby Carlton, Anton Graham and Justin Jowers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pine Rest Funeral Home (16541 US-98, Foley, AL 36535). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Pine Rest Memorial Park (16541 US-98, Foley, AL 36535).
