He was predeceased by: the mother of his child Nancy Jane Allen; his wife Beulah Lee Allen; and his brothers, Thomas Allen and Charles Allen. He is survived by: his son Richard Eugene Allen (Karen) of Elberta; and his grandchildren, Richard E. Burrows, Kerri Fortner and Leslie Marney. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
