He was predeceased by: his daughter Sherry Carpenter; and his grandson Bradley Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Betty Taylor; his sons, Terry Taylor (Nathalie) and Curtis Alan Taylor (Terri); and his granddaughters, Lauren Taylor and Taylor Smitherman (Sutton).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forkland Methodist Church or Demopolis Public Library.
