He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Maxwell and Maxine Hindsman Thompson; and his siblings, Gloria Thompson, Henry Thompson and Alonzo Hindsman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Prater Thompson; his daughters, LaKisha Thompson and Conswaylow Thompson; and his grandchildren, Demond Thompson, Tapanga Thompson, Jadakiss Thompson, Aliyah Thompson, Hacen Thompson, Jacedyn Ford, Keara Martin, Nova Townson and Kane Thompson. He is also survived by 3 Great Grandchildren.
