It is with sadness that the passing of Betty Sue Cook of Fort Payne, Alabama is shared. Betty, born on April 4, 1929, passed away on July 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Adams and Dovie Adams; her husband James H. Cook; her son Jeffrey A. Cook; and her siblings, Ray, Norman Adams, Cora Chastain, Willene Scoggins, Allie Rhodes and Wanda Greene.
She is survived by: her son David G. Cook (Glenda) of Gadsden, Alabama; her brother Bill Adams of Brunswick, Georgia; her grandchildren, Crystal Cook of Fort Payne, Emily Ford (Brian) of Canton and Bradley Cook (Tonya) of Gadsden, Alabama.; her great grandchildren, Vada Jones, Kaden Cook and Manning Amorde; her great great grandchildren, Oakley, Oliver Cook, Cashton and Dashiel Jones; her daughter-in-law Lisa Cook Lindsey (Mark); and her close friend Debbie O'Neal.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Benevolence/Mission funds at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
