He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Old Woman" Smith; and his siblings, Duris, Milburn, Jay, Terrell, Donnie Phillips, Hazel Pope, Linnie Eldridge and Iver Gifford.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra "Sisco" Hale, Danny "Spud" (Juanna "Sally Ann"), Mike and Tim "Bug"; and his grandchildren, Holly "Papoose" Coulter (William "Hardyway"), Blake "Sach" Raughton (Leanne) and Brandon "Muttonhead" Raughton (Ana).
