He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin Shaw; his former wife Frances Jetter Shaw; his sons, Eddie Shaw and Kenneth Clifton; and his siblings, Melvin Shaw, David Shaw, Kenneth Shaw, Mack Shaw, Lucille Oliver, Pauline Giddens, Hazel Shaw and Audrey Cooper White.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Harrison Shaw of Ft Payne, AL; his daughter Donna Beard (David); his sister Joyce Darner (Trever) of Valdosta, GA; his sisters-in-law, Laverne Shaw of White Springs and Marlene Shaw of White Springs; his grandson David Beard, Jr. (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Colby, Paisley, Adyson and Macy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
