She was predeceased by : her father Tommy Howard; and her grandparents, Milard, Pauline Howard, Willie and Deloris Shelton.

She is survived by : her sons, John Spurlock and Mikey Newely; her mother Barbara Hemholtz (P. J.); and her siblings, Donna Marie Hemholtz, Perry Evett and Michael Howard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
