He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Pendergrass and Gurdie Pendergrass; his brothers, Raymond Pendergrass (Magdelene) and Claude Pendergrass; and his brother-in-law Jack Goodwin.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Rowell (Jeff), Penny Hughes (Scotty) and Trent Pendergrass; his siblings, Peggy Goodwin, Sybil Rudder (Joe), R. J. Pendergrass (Gaynell) and Ralph Pendergrass; his grandchildren, Taylor Rowell (Sophia), Ty Rowell (Allie), Tate Rowell (Sara Beth), Alex Allen (Emory), Dylan Hughes, Ashley Hughes and Jojo Hughes; and his sister-in-law Lora Dean Pendergrass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
