She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Boydston and Nadine Autrey Boydston. She is survived by: her husband Mike McElhaney; her sons, Shaun McElhaney (Lisa) and Russell McElhaney (Jennifer); her siblings, Tommy Boydston and Geraldine Beaty; and her grandchildren, Ashlyn, Andrew, Morgan, Brandon and Ethan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club International Foundation.

“There's not a thing I can say. There's just not. I'm glad I took Mandy to meet her, I'm sorry I couldn't come (Mike would've skinned me if I had since I need a brake caliper, and Amanda Lynn is about to be 14 the 20th), as out of character for me as it is to not have a thing to say, I really can't form the thought, much less words. She was a strong willed, strong loving person, and I'm honored and humbled and very very blessed to have her as my Aunt. Love y'all. Always have, always will.”
