He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Patterson and Opha Knight Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Eloise Freeman Patterson; his sons, Darrell Patterson (Kim), Jeff Patterson and David Patterson; his stepsons, Steve Gorham and Nick Gorham; and his siblings, Verlon Patterson and Betty Doolittle (Larry). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
