She was predeceased by: her parents, Burkett Sr. Pendergrass and Myrtle Mary Wood Pendergrass; her son Delbert Eugene Smith; the father of her children Delbert Smith; and her brother Gerald Pendergrass.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Smith (Leah) and Missy Collier (Lavad McDaniel); her grandchildren, Jacob Smith (Allison), Brent Meadows (Ashtin), Traye Meadows (Nicole), Breelie Smith, Tobin Thompson (Kaleenah), Tatum Thompson and Tinsley Thompson; her great grandchildren, Paizlee Thompson, Amari Thompson, Meilah Lowrey and Paxton Smith; her brother Burkett Pendergrass Jr. (Terri); and her sisters-in-law, Doris Pike and Margaret Grant. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
