It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Teresa Young (Fort Payne, Alabama), who passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Porter and Nellie Porter; her siblings, Wanda Daniels, Evelyn Tishaw, Leon, Wendel and Therman "Cotton" Porter; and her grandsons, Cody Simpson and Cory Simpson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Lockett and Angela Vera; her grandchildren, Taylor, Dillan, D'Malachi and Justin; her great grandchildren, Tatum, Marley, Alistier, Amerynn, Sawyer, Greyson, Sophia and Brently; her sister Arthell Johnson; and her sister-in-law Betty Porter. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
While flowers and prayers are deeply appreciated, donations can also be made to the Dementia Society of America in her memory.
