It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Ann Strong of Fort Payne, Alabama, born in Fort Stockton, Texas, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Raymond Strong; her children, Thomas Strong and Mitchell Strong; her brother J. B. Mitchell; and her brother-in-law Sherman Hammond.
She is survived by : her children, Denise Henderson (Joey) and Raye Ann Helms (Mark); her sister Nancy Hammond; her grandchildren, Jennifer Fillingim (Sam), Christopher Smith (Debra), Thomas Strong, Dustin Helms (Ashley), Phillip Henderson (Amber), Ryan Helms, Jaycee Gipson (Marc), Chad Helms (Kendra) and Dakota Henderson (Shelby); her daughter-in-law Dana Strong; and her siblings-in-law, Patsy Tischhauser (Paul), Bob Strong and Rocky Strong. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
