With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darrell Levi of Frisco City, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 24, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Darrell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Levi and Elenor Levi; and his brothers, Tom Levi and Tim Levi. He is survived by: his wife Janice Levi of Frisco City; his daughter Beth Andrews (Lamar) of Mexia; his siblings, Terry Levi, Johnny Levi and Carol Majors; his grandchildren, Tyler Andrews (Baylee) of Monroeville, Trevor Andrews of Mexia and Allie Andrews of Mexia; and his great grandchild Levi Andrews.

“Darrell Levi was my Platoon Sergeant in Charlie Company, 5th Marines (C/1/5), 1st Marine Division in Vietnam in 1969. At 20, he was one of the finest NCOs I served with in my over 20 years on the Marine Corps. He was never let me down. As I was leaving the platoon after 7 months, I met with him and Bob Hensen, the Guide. I was not impressed with my relief. He grinned and said, “Aw, Lieutenant, me and Bob have been talking. We figure if we can train you, we can train anybody.” Semper Fi, Brother”
