He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Busby and John O. Busby; his daughter Teresa Busby Tyler; his siblings, Buddy Busby and Betty Wolford; and his granddaughter Koen Lindsey.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Margie" Busby; his sons, Johnny G. Busby (Cindy) of Fruitdale, AL, Grady Busby (Penny) of Fruitdale, AL and Jason Busby (Sandy) of Fruitdale, AL; his siblings, Jerry Busby (Biddy) of Caldwell, TX, Scott Busby, Jeanne Allen of Mobile, AL, Dorothy "Dot" Long of Purvis, MS and Schlee Carney of Findlay, OH; his grandchildren, Melanie Cotton (Matt), Stephanie Davis (Craig), Todd Tyler (Jessica), Savannah Busby, Sarah Busby, Grady Busby, Jr. (Skyler), Morgan Busby, Blake Brown (James), Jaylon Busby (Kourtney), Nick Turner (Falon), Ethan Turner (Lonna) and Haleigh Tyson (Zach); and his great grandchildren, Luke, Adaline, Vivianne, Charlotte, Stella, Luna, Skye, Graylon, Jake, Rylee, McKenna, Jameson, Jayden, John Griffin, Greyson, Delilah and Easton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Williams Cemetery.
