She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Houston and Annie Maxine Wilkes Houston; and her husband Sherrell Rhey "Butch" Anderson. She is survived by: her daughters, Meredith Ford (Zackery), Jennifer Hendrickson (Michael) and Tera Agan (Billy Essman); her grandchildren, Paxton Ford, Briley Ford, Abigail Mullinax (Trey), Dr. Alexander Essman (Rosa Lee), Avery Essman (Caitlin), Anderson Hendrickson, Chandler Agan (Anna), Candace Beach, Bradley Bohannon and Kristy Cinnamon; and her siblings, Wayne Houston, Earl Houston, David Houston, Sheri Aycock and Lisa Miller. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
