He was predeceased by: his wife Idamae Bolt; his sons, Gary Houston and Jesse Lee Bolt, Jr.; his parents, Gladys Bolt and Jess Bolt; and his siblings, Bertha Thompson and Hoyt Bolt (Ernest Bolt).
He is survived by: his children, Stevie Bolt (Joanne), Daniel Bolt (Tammy), Adam Bolt and Charlotte Bolt; his siblings, Ed Bolt, Nellie Simmons and Peggy Ramza; and his grandchildren, Shana Albernathy, Joshua Houston, Monica Houston, Jason Bolt, Jacob Bolt, Mason Bolt, Dylan Bolt and Brandon Bolt. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
