He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Reed and Geneva Reed; his brother Robert "Bobby" Reed; his nephew Heath Reed; and his sister-in-law Carol Jane Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Sayre Reed; his children, Cheree Rains (Brandon), Emily Howze (Martin) and Craig Reed (Cathy); his grandchildren, Avery Rains, Addison Cherry (Austin), Josh Fleming, Drew Reed, Logan Howze and Madeline Howze; and his siblings-in-law, Kerry Sayre (Pam), Sue Abernathy (Terry) and Glenda Reed. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fyffe First Baptist Church (198 Church St, Fyffe, AL 35971).
