She was predeceased by: her husband Mahlon "Johnny" Johnston; and her siblings, Truett Bownds, Marcell Bradshaw and Uvaughn Davis. She is survived by: her children, Janette Johnston and Kerry Johnston (Carla); and her brother Donald Bownds (Carleen). She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
