We announce the death of Charles Sealy (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sealy and Earlene Sealy; and his stepsons, Joseph and Michael Oglesby. He is survived by: his wife Sedalia Sealy; his children, Michael Sealy (Rowena), Scott Sealy (Robin), Mark Oglesby (Lynn) and Kristi Oglesby; and his grandchildren, Felicity, Declan, Beatrice, Aeden, Keelyn, Graeme Sealy, Chad St. John, Desmond Oglesby, Zack Oglesby and Quanisha Oglesby. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
