He is survived by: his wife Lindsey; his children, Nicole Skipper (Frank), Destinee Skipper (Zach), Emilee Martin (Dustin), Hunter Armstrong and Parker Rakestraw; his grandchildren, Adalyn Brown, Samuel McGinnis, Frankie Adamy, Kaiser Martin, Ellie Brown and Jude Gilliam (Lakelyn Jo); his siblings, James Veal (Hector), Jennifer Ragsdale (Larry), Debra Brown (Ernest), Brenda Gail Godfrey, Linda Deberry Hensley and Sally Skipper Thompson; his close friends, Brandon Booker, Elvis Rhodes, Keith Spears and Dale Wallace; and his pets, Buttercup, Gizmo, Max and Barney.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation or to the Etowah County Humane Society.
