She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Edward Barnes; her parents, Homer J. Tanner and Ethel Wood Tanner; her sons, Jackie Barnes (Carol), Danny Barnes and Larry Barnes; and her siblings, Hubert Tanner, Homer J. Tanner Jr., Lori Williams and Ogie Henderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Funeral Home (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Forrest Cemetery Chapel (700 S 15th St, Gadsden, AL 35901).
