With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Brooklynn Barnes (Gadsden, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 21. She is survived by: her parents, Brad and Katharine; her brother Luke; her grandmothers, Kathie Ferguson and Paula Barnes; her cousins, Lauren Penn and Averil Hardy; her uncle Blake Barnes; her fiancé Nolan Johnson; and her college kitties, Asher and Ariel. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gadsden First United Methodist Church (115 S 5th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption, to continue the light she brought into the world.
