She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin P. "Shorty" Batemon and Mamie Batemon; her former husband Dr. Harper Shannon; her son Dr. Ken Shannon; her siblings, Ray Batemon and Nell Parker; and her granddaughter Heather Hope Shannon.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Rachel Riggan; her grandson-in-law Jordan; her granddaughter Grace; her daughter Grace Shannon Morgan (Jeffrey); her granddaughters, Rachel Shannon Riggan (Jordan) and Jessica Ann Oppert (Wilson); her great grandchildren, Ezekiel John and Isaiah David Oppert; and her sister-in-law Beverly Batemon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
