Herstine Shaw Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herstine Shaw of Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar William Shaw (Bill); her parents, John Edward Cheatwood and Myrtle Garrison Cheatwood; and her siblings, Catherine, John E, Fred, Zora, Inman and Christine.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Shaw (Jing), Shelia Shaw and Diane Williams (Jim); her grandsons, Randy Shaw (Rachel) and Brian Williams (Elise); and her caregivers, Melissa and Judy. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, as well as three step grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
