He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimple Bonds Bennefield and James Garvie Bennefield; and his son James "Jim" Noah Bennefield, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Espey Bennefield; his daughter Gina Bennefield Ryder (Johnny); his stepchildren, Teri Martin Hill (Bruce), David Bullock, Buster Bullock and Danny Bullock (Maria); his grandchildren, Nathan Ryder (Brittany), Thomas Ryder, Addie Ballew and Austin Bennefield; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Hill (Alexandria), Kaley Hill Cody (Ross) and Brant Bullock; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bennet Cody, Kollyns Cody and Brody Bullock; and his siblings, Johnny Bennefield (Terri), Judy Wilson (Dennis), Kathryn Sandlin (Wayne) and Glenda Perry (Bobby). He is also survived by numerous niece and Nephews.
