He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Kay Lester Davis; his parents, Jimmy F. Davis and Gloria Davis; and his sister Greta Champion. He is survived by: his daughters, Tessa Davis (Clint), Misty Medders (Mark) and Melissa Davis; his grandchildren, Emily O'Neill (David), Madison Cody, Isaac Cody, Charles Medders, Collin Cody, Connor Thrift, Mary Medders, Zoey Crowl, Ethan Medders and Logan Thrift; his great grandchildren, Paislee O'Neill and Mylee O'Neill; and his sisters, Tina Davis and Gina Dula.
