He was predeceased by: his parents, Montroy McCary and Vada McCary. He is survived by: his children, Gina Rich (Jeff) and Robert McCary (Theresa); and his grandchildren, Dylan Rich, Emily Rich, Lily McCary and Charlotte McCary.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crestwood Memorial (2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home, Pell City, Alabama.
