It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Green (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katherine Green to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James A. Woody, Jr. and Mattie L. Woody; her brothers, Nathaniel Woody, Kenneth Woody, Earl Woody, Harold Woody and James O. Woody; her sisters-in-law, Wilodean Woody and Mildred Woody; her mother-in-law Earline McCloyd; her brothers-in-law, Anthony Wayne Christian and Walter Ricky Lawler; and her sister Janice Huffman.

She is survived by : her husband Jimmy L. Green; her children, Antonio Green, Nikki Green and Valarie Mooney; her grandchildren, Sinchina Green, QuShonda Green, Arze'Green, Yazmine, TJ Tyler, Shon Green, Tony Green, Zuriya Hayes of Cedric, Hayes, Alexis Causey (Taylor) and Simone Timmons; her great grandchildren, Antonio "Ace" Jones, Layla Vincent and Ivory Rose Causey; her sister Mattie Louise Woody; her siblings-in-law, Ella Woody, Kaye Christian-Price, Olivia McCloud Fomby and Larry D. Green; her siblings, Karen Huffman and Steve Huffman (Christie); and her close friends, Julia Conwell, Wilma May and Lorenza Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Adams-Buggs Funeral Service ~ Etowah Chapel (401 N 9th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (2103 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903). A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the New Bethel United Methodist Church.
