He is survived by: his siblings, Vicki Toney Shires (Steve), Beverly Toney Kemp and Teresa Brackett; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Shires (Jacklyn), Brian Shires (Keri), Lesley Carlson (Matt), Amanda Ford, Jessica Ford (Dillon), Christopher Kemp, Lance Kemp, Samantha Kemp and Hannah Brady; his uncle Otis Toney (Faye); and his aunts, Barbara Denson (Benny) and Gloria Toney.

LTC Toney always took care of his fellow Soldiers and was well respected in every unit he served in. One thing that stands out in my mine was when LTC Toney took over as the Commander at the 152ND Armor BN in Gadsden, AL. Keith was a great guy and a great friend. LTC Toney will truly be missed by his Family, Friends, and His Fellow Soldiers.”
