With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry D Grimes Sr. (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on May 4, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Jordan Melissa Grimes; his parents, Dr. O. R. Grimes, Sr. and Allie Sue Stallings Grimes; and his brother Dr. Ormond Grimes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Katie Grimes; his son Larry D. Grimes, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Jami Grimes; his daughter Lauren Stallings Grimes; and his grandchildren, Ashlynn Mary Grimes and Hunter Whitfield Grimes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial be made in Dr. Grimes' name to the Etowah Free Community Clinic or Gadsden First United Methodist Church.
