As we bid Lynn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lynn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her husband George D. King, Jr.; her sister Fran Hawkins of Gadsden; her son George D. King, III (Lynn); her daughter-in-law Lauren King; and her granddaughter Daphne Allison King of Jupiter, Florida..
To continue her family's legacy, the Chad Hawkins Stadium Foundation is being created to support the maintenance and ongoing improvements of the stadium, which lies below the cemetery where her parents are buried, and her ashes will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Chad Hawkins Stadium Foundation and the Gadsden State Cardinal Foundation with reference to the Chad Hawkins Scholarship.
