She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert L. Moore Sr. and Stella Mae Gilmer Moore; her husband A. H. Mathews Jr.; her brothers, Will Moore and Elbert L. Moore Jr.; and her sister-in-law Beatrice Moore.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike Mathews and Kevin Mathews (Mary Millican); and her grandchildren, Blake Mathews and Candice Cranford (B. J. Cranford).
