He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall E. Stovall and Nilmarg Stovall. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Stovall; his children, Michael Stovall, Michele Whitt (Ronny), Nancy Williams (Barry) and Jonathan Oliver; and his sister Jan Stevens (Mickey). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crestwood Funeral Home (2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903).
