She was predeceased by: her significant other Bill Hale; her daughter Lisa Hale Goodwyn; her son-in-law Leon Goodwyn; her parents, James Wheeler Waits and Ola Mozelle Waits; her brothers, Jimmy Waits, Jerry Waits and Rex Waits; and her nephews, David and Randy Waits.

She is survived by: her daughter Jan Andrew (Steve Andrew); her grandchildren, Haley Goodwyn and Caleb Goodwyn; her sister Florence Dial; and her nieces and nephews, Lynn Chappell, Carol Callis, Debra Rhea, Kelly Cochran, Samantha Powell, Penny McCormick, Russell Waits, Mark Waits, Gary Dial and Rex Waits Jr.. She is also survived by other family members, friends, neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Clothes Closet and Ladle of Love.
