She was predeceased by: her husband Harold "Rip" Ragan; her parents, Paul Pinson and Lena Pinson; her brother Charles Pinson; her granddaughter Taylor Ragan; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Pinson, Rene Pinson, Pat Coin and Edith Ingram (Bob); and her son-in-law John McClain.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy McClain, Susan Stierwalt, Bob Ragan and Jim Ragan; her grandchildren, Stephanie Ragan (Kaleigh), Matthew McClain, Lauren McClain, Scott Stierwalt (Kaytie Keck), Kate Whalen, Kamey Ragan and Kourtney Ragan; her great grandchildren, Mia McClain, Winter Ragan and Remy Ragan; her siblings, Marilyn Salter (John), Bill Pinson and David Pinson; her siblings-in-law, Pam Pinson and Mike Coin; her daughter Kathryn McCollum; and her granddaughters, Alexis and Ellen McCollum. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Etowah County.
