He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Nell McElrath; and his son Raleigh Lee McElrath, Jr. (Raleigh). He is survived by: his daughters, Denise McElrath and Donna Womack (Chris); and his siblings, Mary McElrath, Linda O'Neal and Terry McElrath. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
