He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Craig Means (Amanda) and Jud Means (Kelley); his granddaughters, Shelby (Austin), Lauren, Anna Kate, Haley Beth and Molly; his great grandchildren, Catherine, Jack Robert, George and Myla Grace; and his caregivers, Alexia, Brianna, Edith and Alex.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rainbow Presbyterian Church, Manna of Gadsden, or Way of the Cross.
