He is survived by: his wife Betty Boyd Lankford; his children, Sallie Ennis (Richard) and J. Neal Lankford (Stacy); his grandchildren, Ana Beasley (Jared), Boyd Lankford (Mary Margaret), Emma Louise Ennis, Graham Lankford, Emily Lankford and Judson Ennis; his great grandchildren, Lily, Anderson, Mary Harmon, Henry and William; and his sister Shirley Harvey.
