It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherlene Bethley of Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. M. Bethley and Ruby May; her son Gregory Thornton; her brothers, L. D. Bethley and Velter L. Bethley; her nephew Frederick Young; her daughter-in-law Tawana Davis (Sherlene); her granddaughters, Deborah J. Moore and Valerie Curry; her sons, Rodney Curry (Marketta) and Jesse Curry; and her siblings, Lillie Young and H. M. Bethley.
She is survived by: her close friends, Betty Stephens, Mable Whittaker, Brenda Card, Meschelle Love, Donna Smoots, Sheldon Montgomery and Sharon Bryant-Maness; and also, Charlotte Nelson, Ruby Nelson, Kim Miller and Gene Handy.
