He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Andrew and Elnora Carlisle; and his siblings, Lee James Carlisle, Ralph Carlisle, Elvin Carlisle and Carrie Rebecca King Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Larcena Carlisle; his children, Larry Carlisle, Keith Carlisle, Terry Carlisle, Debbie Carlisle-Sheffield (Mike), Tishalyn Carlisle and Tony Maxwell; his grandchildren, Trevell, Marcus, Kearra, Kyra, Da'jaih Freeman (Jarious), Tianna, Jermichael Jr., Zeterrious, Chanze, Damian, Samiya, Zareya, Emazan and Cali; his great grandchild Milani; his siblings, Nancy Smith, Dorothy Davenport, Geraldine Bradford, Carol Hardy, Rickey Carlisle (Sheena) and Gwendolyn Nelms; his siblings-in-law, Paul Maxwell (Gloria) and Cathy Thomas (Wayne); and his friend John Walker. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Galilee Baptist Church (904 S 16th St, Gadsden, AL 35901).
