It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Decker in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Vernon Decker; her parents, Ernest Black and Annie Ruth Chandler Black; her son Jeff Wood; her grandsons, Zachary Decker and Justin Decker; and her sisters, Margaret Black Stone and Faye Black Hawkins.

She is survived by: her children, Amanda Howard (Brad), Matthew Decker, Shane Decker and Samuel Decker; her grandchildren, Haley Wright (Chris), Dereck Bailey (Cayla), Max Howard, Eli Howard, Devlyn Decker, Aiden Decker, Andrew Decker, Ben Decker and Niki Wood; her great grandchildren, Khloe Wright, Liam Wright, Addilyn Bailey, Iyla Jo Bailey, Taylor and Dawson Randolph; and her sister Betty Black Jackson. She is also survived by several other great grandchildren.
