It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Frances Stephens (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. W. Stephens; her parents, Bud Pearce and Bernice Pearce; her stepmother Jewel Pearce; her son Steve Barnes; and her siblings, Geraldine Edmondson, Robbie Brock (Van), Wanda Toon (Tommy), Dorothy Jacobs, Maxine Reid and Kenny Pearce.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law JoAnn Barnes; her sister Phala Duncan (James); and her brother-in-law Ben Edmondson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
