He is survived by: his mother Barbara Cook; his siblings, Kayla Cook Haley of Gadsden, AL., Kenneth Smith of Gadsden, AL. and Walter Smith (Cynthia) of Gadsden, AL.; his aunts, Louise Golson, Deborah Adams, Ekra Tolbert, Jackie Penny, Millie Mostella and Dolly Thomas; his siblings' children, Morgan Childs, Terrell Malone and Britton Childs V; his close friends, Sherrell Timmons, Randy Powel and Ron Darcy; and his cousin Kevin Calhoun. He is also survived by other relatives, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Gadsden Funeral Home (2118 Forrest Ave, Gadsden, AL 35904). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the United Christian Church (132 E Walnut St, Gadsden, AL 35903).
