She was predeceased by : her parents, George Edd and Birddie Swindle Carter; her siblings, J. C. Carter, Clyde Carter, Edd Carter, Jr., Wilson Carter, Inez Carter Morris, Louise Carter Cash, Ruby Carter Goraum, Wordner Carter and Odis Lee Carter; her son Ronald Stewart Etheredge; and her grandson Christopher Gwin.
She is survived by : her daughters, Annette Gwin (Bruce) and Loretta Etheredge; her sister Jesse Faye Terry (Paul); her grandsons, Stewart Gwin (Molly), Nathan Gwin (Destiny), Andrew Gwin (Danica) and Benjamin Gwin; her great grandchild Jackson Briggs Gwin; and her close friend Dorothy Bourcq. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, she has requested donations be made to SALT of Demopolis or Bigbee Human Society in her memory.
