She is survived by: her children, Hal Martin and Nancy Martin Herring; her brother Byrd Holloway; her grandchildren, Emily Martin Smith (Marchman), Lindsay June Herring (Cole Swink) and Jimmy Martin; and her great grandchildren, Martha Mae and Henry Smith.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Able Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
