We are sad to announce that, on April 22, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Bonnie Merritt (Gardendale, Alabama), born in Chillicothe, Missouri. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Bonnie find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emily Russell and Edgar Russell; her husband Joseph A. Merritt; her son Greg; and her grandsons, Josh, Ben and Jimmie.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Merritt (Betty) and Michelle Shelton (Wayne). She is also survived by six grandchildren; and at least 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the mission fund at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
